My favorite thing about being a photographer is connecting with people! I love hearing their stories and providing them with memories to treasure forever! My clients become family to me over time and I am invested in their lives inside and outside of our sessions.

Behind the Lens
An adventurous soul with a love for the outdoors and time spent with the ones I hold dear.
HELLO! My entire life I have been around sports and adventure. I played softball and volleyball and I am a big fan of watching MN Wild. I graduated from St Catherine University with a degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. I LOVE that I am able to be an interpreter and photographer! In 2021, I married my husband and best friend Jon in Estes Park, Colorado. Our wedding was small, simple, and intimate. Nonetheless, it was more than I could have ever dreamed. Since then, we've become parents to our beautiful daughter Savannah Jon. As a family, we love being outside, traveling and exploring.

I hate awkward silences and so I will talk the entire time during your session. Whether that be telling jokes, stories, or even drop movie quotes. I want to break down that barrier of nervousness so you forget that a camera is even pointed at your face. We're just hanging out having fun, and snapping some photos!

I thrive on change. In fact, I am at my best when change shows itself into my life. I love when things don’t go completely as planned. God always has a funny way of showing me that I am not in charge and His plan is bigger than my own. Even though things typically work out for the better when the plans change, I am still OCD when it comes to planning and organization. I color coordinate everything and prepare months in advance. Sometimes I make a to-do list and add things that are already completed, just to cross it off!

- I refuse to slow down. I’m a pretty intense person to live with, and I work hard to play hard. My husband sometimes can’t stand me because the wheels are constantly turning, and I always have something to do. I live my life with the intention of staying busy, and day after day things that were up to my standards yesterday never seem quite good enough today. That feeling is what fuels the fire in my belly to keep going and be the best overall person I can be.

- I am totally obsessed with DOGS! We have three of our own Dw (Age 7), Ella (Age 8) and Willow (Age 12 Weeks). Dw is a German Shepherd mixed with Husky. He acts like a fox and is always on the hunt but if you are not careful will ESCAPE and the chase is on. Ella is our oversized, retired hunting dog. She is a Chocolate Lab and BALL is LIFE. Willow Bleu is a weimaraner. She has the softest coat and her eyes are stunning blue! We cannot wait to watch her grow. Bonus fact! My husband, three dogs and I lived in a 30 ft camper on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a year!!!

My Why
There are moments throughout your life that you wish would last forever. Moments filled with love, joy, and the people that you care about most in this world. But, it is inevitable that time will pass – quicker than we would like it to - and those moments become just memories. So how do you treasure a memory? How do you bottle up that joy so that you can relive it over and over again? To me, the answer is through photography.

This is not just a job to me. I truly LOVE what I do and I understand that capturing & preserving people’s memories is such an honorable duty. Without these photos, those memories might begin to fade away.

Life is short, so don't miss the moment.
My family is my “why” in everything that I do. They are the reason that I love to make people laugh. The reason I enjoy telling stories. The reason that I always say, “I love you” before I say, “Goodbye.” And most importantly, the reason that I found purpose in my life by serving others as a photographer.
I believe in leaving our earth beautiful for the next person after us. I also believe in planning ahead, having consideration for the people around me, packing out what I packed in, traveling on durable surfaces, and leaving what I find (pretty flowers and rocks) for the next person. I incorporate these practices in my business and philosophy as a photographer, and expect my clients to as well. We can all do better to make this world a better place! Learn more at www.LNT.org
